Are you wanting to earn some extra money while you’re in school? Fluctuating schedules, homework loads, and trying to fit in a social life, can make getting a job when you’re a student seem difficult. Generally, students don’t have much work experience, so you’ll be looking at entry level jobs, that allow you to build experience on your resume. The best jobs to look for are ones that expect people to be entry level without previous work experience.

Believe it or not, many legitimate companies hire employees and allow them to work from home either fully or partially. Many well known companies such as Apple, Amazon, UnitedHealthcare, Dell, Wells Fargo, and IBM allow employees to work from home. Customer service, and IT jobs are some of the most abundant.
There are many benefits to working from home. A few are:
- Save time and money – No more driving never ending miles to get to a boring job or spending money unnecessarily on gas, work attire, childcare, etc.
- Better Work-Life Balance – Set your work hours around your personal life, goals, and hobbies.
- Tax Benefits – Working from home provides incredible tax benefits. You can write off equipment, supplies and even a portion of your home or car if they are used for business purposes.

==> Babysitting or Petsitting
Find a babysitting or petsitting job
Generally you’ll only want to find one to three families to babysit and / or petsit for. Babysitting / petsitting can be a great college job, because it is fairly easy, pays well, and can have a flexible schedule. Many times you can also do your homework while on the job.
==> Bartending
Find a bartending job
Bartending can be a great job for a college student. It’s a great way to earn money and to have a social life at the same time. You may have to take a bartending course before applying for a job if the establishment does not offer on the job training.
==> Waiter / Waitress
Find a waiter / waitress job
Waiting tables and serving food is one of the classic college student jobs. Many times you do not need experience, you only need to be personable and friendly to qualify.
Many establishments hire servers on a regular basis. Apply to as many different places as possible to build a raport with area restaurants and to increase your likelihood of getting a serving job. If you take the time to apply at five different restaurants a day for five days a week, I’m fairly sure that you’ll have a serving job before the week is over.

Find a tutoring job
Do you excel in math, English, science, or any other subject? If so, tutoring may be the student job for you, and it pays well too.
You can start work in tutoring, by either finding your own clients, searching a job board, or working for an established tutoring agency.
If you have enough time, you could find tutoring jobs using all three. Just make sure to never take away clients from an employer or tutoring agency.
==> Telemarketing and / or Sales
Find a telemarketing and / or sales job
While telemarketing and sales jobs can be difficult, you can also make a lot of money. For example, a sucessful car salesman can early thousands of dollars a month while in college.
Most sales jobs are easy to get. You are typically paid a commission for every sale, but very little additional per hour if any at all. Sales jobs are easy to get, but can be hard to succeed at because you have to be able to convince people to make a purchase.
These are five jobs that are easy for college students to get. If you’re looking for some extra cash, these five avenues are great places to start.
